Enable $ADX as Governance Token for heyAura
The latest governance proposal for heyAura aims to allow $ADX holders to participate in votes even if their tokens aren't staked. Have your say!
We have a new proposal to put out to governance voting - and this time it directly affects governance for heyAura in general, too. This article outlines what the proposed changes are and why.
Proposal overview
Until now, only $ADX-STAKING (soon to be $stkADX) or $ADX-LOYALTY on Ethereum were eligible as governance tokens. We now propose to enable holders of $ADX to also participate in governance, even if their tokens are not staked (also on Ethereum). Please note that if this proposal passes, the voting power of $ADX tokens will be half (0.5 points) that of staked $ADX tokens ($ADX-STAKING or $ADX-LOYALTY).

- No - do not allow voting with $ADX

Proposal motivation
Currently, governance participation is limited to staked token holders. Staking serves important purposes (e.g., security, alignment, long-term commitment), however it could unintentionally exclude a portion of token holders from contributing to decision-making since not all $ADX tokens are staked.
This proposal aims to extend governance rights to unstaked token holders, ensuring broader, more inclusive participation while maintaining the integrity of the system.
Voting eligibility
- Hold $ADX-STAKING or $ADX-LOYALTY before the snapshot.
- Any token changes after the snapshot will not affect the voting power. For example, staking your $ADX tokens after the snapshot will not allow you to participate in this vote.
Voting timeline
- Vote start: Voting period begins on Monday, May 11th, 2026
- Vote end: Voting period closes on Monday, May 18th, 2026
